Title:  Secretariat

Collection:  Movies

My family and I enjoyed this DVD immensely!! Set in the late 1960s & early 70s, my childhood years, Secretariat is the true story of an amazing thoroughbred, nicknamed Big Red, and his owner, a housewife named Penny, both with amazing heart and competiveness. Penny, while trying to raise a family in Denver and save the family horse farm in Virginia – is trying to assert herself in a man’s world and has faith in Big Red, even against all the odds. Wonderful screen shots and close ups of  Secretariat and the excitement of the races all mix together to make this movie a on-the-edge-of-your-seat winner.

We all love a story of a underdog that wins and this underdog ended up winning the Triple Crown! For more info on Secretariat, see:
