As a part of the acclaimed DC Comics—The New 52 event of September 2011, Barbara Gordon is finally back as Batgirl! The nightmare-inducing brute known as Mirror is destroying the lives of Gotham City citizens seemingly at random. Will Barbara be able to survive her explosive confrontation with this new villain, as well as facing dark secrets from her past?

I always loved the fact that Barbara Gordon was a librarian and a superhero.  Years ago when she was shot by the Joker and paralyzed, I was OK with her as the Oracle, but no matter who assumed the cape after her, no one was the same as Barbara Gordon.  Writer Gail Simone has reintroduced Batgirl post surgery as she begins once again to fight crime on the streets of Gotham with her wits and bravery.  A good story with wonderful artwork, I am looking forward to more Barbara Gordon as Batgirl stories in future.
