New Library Service Allows Free Access to Over One Million Books

Allegany County Library users now have access to over one million books and other items found in more than 700 public and academic libraries across the State of Maryland – all from the convenience of their home computer, tablet, or smart phone.

Using the new Marina interlibrary loan service, Allegany County Library patrons can log on to the library’s website at  Click “Find It, Get It” at the top of the screen and search for any title, author, or subject on the Marina homepage.   The search results will show items available from libraries all over the State of Maryland.  The patron can then choose a title, select a pick-up location, and click “Request.”   Most items arrive within 4 to 7 business days. Patrons then receive a text, email, or phone call from the library when their item arrives.
