The Paladin prophecy by Mark Frost

Title:  The Paladin prophecy

Author:  Mark Frost

Collection:  Teen Books

A fifteen-year-old boy who has spent his entire life trying to avoid attention finds himself in the middle of a millenia-old struggle between titanic forces when he is simultaneously recruited by an exclusive prep school and followed by sinister agents.

The book description said: “Readers of I Am Number Four, The Maze Runner, and Legend will love this exciting new adventure series by the co-creator of the groundbreaking television show Twin Peaks, with its unique combination of mystery, heart-pounding action, and the supernatural.”  I am a fan of all three of those books, so I thought I would give this one a try.  Although the cover was a bit off-putting, the story and characters Frost has created are fun and witty, particularly Will the main protagonist of the story.  The story ends in mystery, set up for a sequel that I eagerly await.
